Does cosmetic surgery have to mean going under the knife?

At the age of 50, Janet Cunliffe decided that she wanted to do something about her appearance.

Her long term relationship had ended, she had moved in with her 22 year old daughter, and was desperately in need of something to cheer her up.

While many women would have settled for a new haircut or a fling with a toyboy, Ms Cunliffe decided to travel to Croatia and have cosmetic surgery on her lips, breasts, eyes and nose, to the tune of £10,000.

Money well spent? Well the papers are raving about how she looks just like her daughter, and you can see the results for yourself above.

I just can't help thinking that the operations and 'going under the knife' were unnecessary, and travelling to a foreign country to have these procedures is fraught with unknown dangers.

Maybe Ms Cunliffe didn't know that there is a much easier and safer way?

For example:

It's great that she has a new lease of life, and I wish her all the best, but whenever I hear of a woman putting herself through cosmetic surgery and the resultant recovery period, I wish someone had told her about Riverbanks Clinic.
